Note to self: Always wash off makeup before sleeping

Feeling: well, not my usual 289.67% hyperness...
Laughing at: Nigahiga's parody of the Rihanna/Chris Brown incident

This weekend was really packed!!! The SOS funfair was dead (sorry Michael, ours was better!) but at least I got out of the house. Yesterday, i went for a barbecue at my Uncle's place cause he wanted to introduce the family to his fiancee. She's cool. I also found out that I have a serious passion for karaoke. The barbecue was at my aunt's place and her kids had a Wii with High School Musical Sing It. Even though I'm not a big fan of HSM as I used to be, I thought I'd be a laugh to try. So I bullied everyone into letting me play and it was fun. I even got recorded by some of the other people invited!

Franklina's birthday was yesterday so she had a dinner. I had a blast, being the life of the party like I always do!!!  Everyone said I looked nice!! When I went home, my sis had borrowed a mic from my aunt's place and we jammed on Guitar Hero until 1:30 am!!!

Today I was a good student, I worked on my Math and English essay and got a nice dent into them. Woo hoo!! Tomorrow, I'll work on my French before heading over to Erika's for my guitar battle with Ellis!! I hope I win even though I've hardly practiced...

Bad news: One of the actresses from Boys Before Flowers committed suicide... Sad... This may delay filming...

I can hang with boys boys if only they're talking about something I can relate to, like video games!!

Watching: Oboma (or more like the TV is on Oboma)
Chatting with: Jeani and Ewuradjoa
Listening to: No Sleep Till Brooklyn by The Beastie Boys

Ok, I have come to the conclusion that I will blog more often. Why? Because when I don't, junk plies up and my posts become too long...

So most important: My birthday was really low-key this year. Jeani and Valerie put a birthday sign on my cupboard door while they thought I was sleeping (damn birthday excitement!) And they tried making a powerpoint presentation but I caught them in the middle of it... But they persisted and I was nicely surprised after prep. They and Dzifa, Kelly, Ama, Jemima, Eyram and Priscilla made a huge card for me and we had chocolate ice cream!! My day was also really crapping at one point but my grade 10 croonies pulled through for me and gave me a card!! Fang also got me some stuff- a notebook, some pens and stickers. I jot my random emo moments in that book!!

This half-semester has been uber stressful! The dance competiton really killed a lot of people, me especially! I did both part- I had a minor role in the African dance and mixed the sound for the Contempoary dance. Late nights were in order, especially the week before the competiton. I slept in 3 or my classes one time- Math, TOK and Geog. Sad... And at the end of the day, Catherine was 2nd for both parts... Hey, we tried!!! And we rocked the house!! Just not enough to wow the judges...

Tomorrow is the SOS funfair!! Can't wait!! I'll get to see Micheal!!! And hopefully Jeani will be there. And Fang (fingers crossed)

By the way, today is Ghana's independence day!! 52 years of independence rox!! Today, I went to Ada with my family for one of their friend's birthday party. Part 2 is tommorow in a club! Adults...

Wow! Short post. I must really be tired. I can feel my eyes closing...

Forever lonely on the 14th

Can't find: my French notebook
Worrying about: falling grades in Geography and French
Looking forward to: my birthday and mid-term!!
Dreaming about: The chocolate I am going to devour soon ;-P

First off, Jeani said I should mention that she is stressed so.... Jeani is stressed. OK, she's not as stressed as she was this weekend but she is still stressed because she is doing her Economics presentation right now and she can't wait for tomorrow cause she doesnt have Economics again for the rest of the week.

The prefect list was annouced and the new prefects have been in power for about a week now. Jeani got Entertainment, Kafui Deputy Senior Prefect and Ama MPH prefect.

So seeing as Jeani is Entertainment and Valentine's day was around the corner, I helped her start the chocolate orders. First, we had to get an estimate of how many bars we had to buy so we asked round and got an estimate of almost 2000 bars!!! Then we had to get the names of who they were sending the chocolate to and wrap and deliver. Here's where the mixup started: We had the lists both on paper and on Jeani's laptop and stayed up until midnight on Friday wrapping the chocolate. People would see the list on the paper, do the wrapping and writing of messages and put the list away and another person would do the same list AGAIN!! Same thing happened with the lists on Jeani's laptop. So there were double orders while people got no orders. Even after staying up, we still couldnt finish so majority of Saturday was spent wrapping and delivering (some Valentine's day). And then people came to attack us asking for refunds cause their orders didnt go through (and I am very embarassed to say that I found a list in my school bag- a delivery that never went through). So, that was basically my quite crappy/stressful 14th. The only fun part of that day was watching Episode 10 of my favourite Korean soap 'Boys Before Flowers'!!! That show rocks!!! I sent to 40 people this year and got about 10 bars (hey at least it's an increase from last year's 7!!)

You know how some people say that Friday the 13th is a bad luck day? They were wrong: Friday the 13th for me was Epic Fail day. g4tv.com used to make Thrusdays Epic Fail days but they stopped a long time ago (it was fun while it lasted!) Lemme explain:

Seeing as people has decided to send chocolate to day students and teachers (*cough* yours truly is a good example to use!) Jeani and the whole "Entertainment Squad" decided to deliver their on Friday so we wrapped Thrusday night. Luckily, it was only 18 bars so we were done in no time. We decided to deliver at snack time when the whole school was in the MPH. I started delivering and some of my friends wanted to deliver too so I gave them a few bars to distribute. I put the ones from me aside and told Valerie to deliver them for me. I was only sending to Se-rah, Keith and Fang. Se-rah had been MIA for the past few days so I couldn't get hers to her then, Fnag was having a serious paper mix-up or something so hers was put on hold so it was only left with Keith's He had an exam after snack so I walked Valerie all the way to the Exam Hall. I told her to wait and I went to the art room with Jeani to give Yea-Young her chocolate. We came out and Valerie started complaining that he wasnt coming fast enough. I told her to be patient and that she was doing me a really big favour and that I love her forever. I was about to go back downstairs when she told me he was coming. Having no other option, I ran back into the art room and stayed there for about 10 minutes. Valerie came in, one less bar of chocolate later and told me her side:

After I ran into the art room, one of the Physics teachers came up to her and started teasing her cause her birthday was the next day. Keith came up and thought today was her birthday and tapped her. She turned and did her stupid delivery song thingy and gave him the chocolate. He smiled and she had to remind him that it wasnt from her. His smile became brighter and then she came into the art room.

I couldnt leave just yet cause he was still standing outside. He finally went into the Exam hall and I finally left. I decided to play hide-and-seek for the rest of the day which was fun for a while. I went with Jeani to check her SAT scores (by the way, I failed mine. I got 1760... Jeani didn't tell me hers). Then I went for my TOK class and finished up the lists. While I was working on the lists, I kept on seeing Jeani at the library entrance. Getting extremely bored after an hour, I went their to see her and then I asked Valerie if she had delivered to Se-rah and Fang. Se-rah was still MIA and Fang was still paper mixed up. Luckily, I saw Se-rah bag in front of the library and put it in. She was so excited about it but she couldnt tell me face-to-face. She did it via Facebook:

hey, thanks for the valentine's chokii~!
it was unexpectable...
luv ya too~~~
i won't 4get wat u hav done to me...
at least i hav to pay you bac...huh?
welll....
i hav 4gotten that valentine was coming...
happy future valentine^3^~~~~
thanks!

Can someone please explain why people have to buy gifts for people if someone gives them a gift? I happen to really like giving gifts to my friends and dont expect anything back in return.

Where was I?

Oh yeah: Epic Fail Friday!

So I come out of the library and Jeani is still waiting for me and told me Keith passed by. I wiped my brow of imaginary sweat, glad to have missed him. But quite unfortunately, he came from the other corner.... He said thanks and kinda go a little worried that he didn't get me anything. I told him no worries and walked off. Jeani was disappointed, Valerie was disappointed cause they were expecting something much more...um... bigger? Rita said this whole thing was not Epic Fail. She wouldnt know Epic Fail even if it bit her in her behind!!

Now, I can gladly concentrate on the most important day of the year: MY BIRTHDAY!!! 9 days to legalization!!!

ZOMG ISMFOF ROFL

Listening to: Things that rhyme with orange by I Set My Friends On Fire
Finding the energy to: study for SAT's
Epically failed: Defeating Baron Brr in Super Mario Galaxy

I can't believe 2008 is almost over. It's been a awesome year.  I had an awesome birthday, I wrote my first ever major exam, I had a crush and got my heart broken (as usual, that's why they're called crushes.), I had a change in personality (in a good way) and I think I matured in a weird way. Gosh, I don't know if i have the energy to elaborate on each one.... Ok ok, lemme play Guitar Hero for a bit and let's see what happens...

Emo Wii!! It keeps on going off. It won't even let me finish a set list!!

Sassy 17
I still can't stress enough how unbelievably awesome my 17th birthday was. If I replay the whole day, you're probably gonna think it wasn't cool, but I think it rocked!!

I woke up and all my roommates attacked me with pillows >.<. I go for breakfast and everyone is wishing me happy birthday left right and centre. It was kewl! My sis put my present in my school bag so I found it when I got to class. She gave this really awesome card, chocolate and my iPod. See, I was in the middle of writing my mocks so my parents decided that Eli should keep my iPod for me until I was done. So I got to keep my iPod for the day! Luckily, I didn't have a paper that day so I locked myself in the spare art room and studied the whole day. I didn't see anyone until lunch. And later that evening, someone (I forgot...) came into my prep class and announced that it was my birthday. Later on, two guys in my prep class made me a card....

Killing two birds with one stone
A piece of advice to whoever it may apply to- Try as much as possible not to have a crush around the time you're writing one of the most important exams of your life.  It happened to me and I have no idea how I survived X_X.

In May, I wrote one of the most important exams of my life- The IGCSE. (I forgot what it means...) The exams spanned 4 weeks, they ended first week in June. I had been dreading this moment for the past four years of my life. All the classes, projects, orals led up to this. The teachers had given us so much hassle and now it was time. It was our only chance to show the school that we aren't the total douchebags they thought we were. Everything was at stake- our reputation, our futures, our lives, our everything (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating but you get the general idea) Then It happened...before I even wrote my first paper

So sure he was a nice guy and I had talked to him a few times before, but I never thought I would crush on someone again. It was the first crush I had had in about 3 years. It was like having my first crush all over again. I loved that feeling I got anytime I saw him...but I hated the way my sense of logic and reason would get tossed out once I saw him. We talked almost everyday and I heard rumors that he might have liked me too. I have to say, of all the crushes I've had in my life, he was the first one I actually talked to (I never ever had a normal conversation with my others). And hugging him was just awesome!!

With all this, it's a miracle I was able to do really well on my IGCSE's. I studied real hard and put all my energy into it. I also prayed a lot cause I was nothing without God. At the end of the day, my crush faded just as my exams were ending (talk about a fast crush!) but not without some rocky sides and I got 6 A's and 3 B's. We're still friends (and the hugging still rocks!! ^_~)
(Oh my gosh, did you think I was gonna tell who it was? Sorry to disappoint...)

Rock Goddess
I had been seriously considering getting Guitar Hero for some time cause it looked really cool. So when my parents went to LA in June, I asked to get me Legends of Rock, And they didn't dissapoint!! I feel in love with the game so much that I acquired this rock star aura. I began to pretend that I was actually one cause the game really opened me up to all these artists I hadn't heard of- AFI, Lacuna Coil, Superbus, Revolverheld, The Fall of Troy... so now I'm the most "rockish" person in my whole entire school. It's so bad that when I saw Victor at the mall the other day, he introduced me to his friend saying "This is my friend Sedinam, she wants to be a rock star when she grows up". Not true by the way...

So those have been the major highlights in 2008. I hope 2009 is so much way more better...

Happy New Year!!

"Once or Twice"- Jeani's random phrase of the day!

Listening to: Prelude 21/12 by AFI
Doing: Geography research on Thomas Malthus
Looking forward to: Exeat this Saturday!!!

Jeani, will you blog for me? I'm feeling lazy...

fine...

The school's internet has not been working properly for some time. At one point in time, I felt that the whole school was like the South Park episode were they wake up one morning and the internet's gone (and funnily enough, Dolly and I stayed up the night before it happened doing our MUN research)

Ah, MUN. There was an MUN conference at another school about 2 weeks ago and I was the delegate of Panama in the Security Council. Lemme just say that it was my first official MUN so I was a bit confused so I was quite quiet during the debates. But when we had the Generel Assembly, I was talking up a storm! Some terrorists had captured a fellow delegate and wanted the whole of Australia. If we didn't comply within 2 hours, the delegate would be killed and they had suicide bombers in all the major cities in the world. Unfortunately, when we can out with a resolution after the 2 hour deadline so the delegate was killed and 105 million people were killed in the suicide blasts. (remember, it's fake. It didn't really happen. But the delegate was really absent that day.)

And I'm proud to say that I'm failing 5 of my 6 classes!! Weird huh? The only subject I'm doing ok in is English and that's because we've hardly done any exercises. I had Math and Geography tests the Monday after the MUN conference. And because I had spent the whole weekend doing the Conference, I didn't get time to study so I failed and failed miserably!! But the only reason why I'm happy is cause it will give me the energy to learn for exams so I can have a really good report this Christmas (exams are in 20 days...)

Halloween this year was a bit dead. I went as Boxman from Smosh and I got 2nd place for bet costume. Daniela won- she was a snake lady. And it was so painful cause everyone kept on hitting me while I was in the box and I didn't take a lot of pictures that night...

Today, they FINALLY resolved the History and Geography problem. The History class has been spilt up to 2 sets. I'm in set 2 a.k.a non-Economics students. So now I have History when there's Economics. That means my beautiful timetable has been destroyed. I used to have a free period every single day but now I only have free periods on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (at least my 4 free periods on Fridays are still intact) And we just got a student teacher from Central Michigan University in our History class yesterday... v.v

Oh, I almost forgot! Today's election day and everyone in school's gone Obama crazy!!! It's so hilarious!! And Ghana's elections are in about a month...

And I would also like to mention that too many people are born on the 4th of November!! Happy birthday Lizzie, Rita, Nii and Somi!!

By the way, I'm officially math retarded!! I can solve really hard math questions but I can't solve really hard ones!! Example is the last question. It was a simple math question but I spent a good 15 minutes trying to solve it and I know I got it wrong. crazy huh?

Happy (late!) birthday Jeani!!

Hey JT!!

But no worries, JT cause we'll be together for the rest of our natural existence, whether you like it our yes!

Our college road trip thing is still on. Vegas, here we come!!!

Just remember one important factor in life-  I will always be there for you. Though I may not  show it openly, I always will be, okey dokey smokey???

"IB is a rigorous course for highly motivated students" lulz... (Happy birthday Dolly!!!)

Listening to: Mirrorcle World by Ayumi Hamasaki
Hiding in: the Library (no ones after me though!)
Current academic pursuit: Filling out my CAS form

Hey all. I know it's been a while since my last update. School started and everything's just gone crazy!!
When I came back to school last Saturday, everyone was uber happy to see me. I was practically floating on cloud 11 (shows you how happy I was!)
Sunday, we got our new uniforms... X_X. I hate them. My dad loves them...
(full body shoot coming soon)

Now IB is in full swing for my grades. We have quite a few new people and there's already a lot of drama (and it's only been about a week!!!) So now here's my official list of subjects:

Mathematics Higher Level
Geography Higher Level
French Higher Level

English Standard Level
Chemistry Standard Level
History Standard Level

History and Geography clash on the timetable so until a change is made, I have to alternate. I go for History on Mondays and Geography Tuesdays to Thursday. So far my fave subject is Math (what a geek... but by next week, I'll be wishing I never choose the damn subject...)

Oh gosh I thought was gonna talk about soo much..Ok I have a bit of time...(I have another free period and another...CAS can wait a bit)

So Fang spent her summer in China but she was in Shanghai. She got me some cute hair stuff and one of those toys you get from McDonalds. It was the red Olympics mascot, Huanhuan or whatever its called. She told me their names strung together translated to "Beijing welcomes you!" You gotta love the Chinese...

Snack time!!! Not like I'm going...
