The past few days have been good. The New Year's party this year was extremely dead. WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE FIREWORKS!!! Hung around for a bit then went to a party Saturday night.
My cousin, Bemma, talked me into going. She was in Ghana for Christmas so she said we should met up and the party. I talked my parents into letting me go and they talked my grandma into letting me go and I got a ride from Yasmin,. It was loads of fun!! I just wish that people learned to live in the moment....
I was hanging with Doreen for a bit and I really wanted to dance so I grabbed Katakyie's friend whom I had seen earlier and danced with him. While we were dancing, he started kissing me on my cheek and I was a bit weirded out but I ignored it. Then I think he wanted to kiss me on my lips but I kept turning my head in different weird and funny angles (ha ha). Then he said he had to go look for him cousin. I went back out and found my cousin Gabriella and started talking to her for a bit. Then this other guy asked me to dance so I did then after he asked for my number and I gave it to him. I told him I had to leave cause Yasmin said we had to leave at 1. He too equally tried to kiss me but I pushed him off. Then he hugged me as if I was gonna die the next day. Then he calls when I'm in the car on my way to Yasmin's place cause I was sleeping over at her's. He wanted me to meet him outside but I said I was on my way home so whatever!! Then other guy called me yesterday but my head hurt like hell so I wasn't really functioning properly... whatever. Like I care. I really wish guys could learn to live in the moment. Like that episode of How I Met Your Mother where Ted met the baker at his friend's wedding and they lived the moment. For a while... You know, dance with a girl at a party and that's the end of that. Instead of trying to kiss her and trying to hook up with her later. If I were a guy, I would just ask a girl to dance, dance with her and that's the end of it. They make life complicated for themselves...
So anyway, Ghana FINALLY has new president- Prof. John Evans Atta Mills. Personally, I'm just glad all this election drama is over. It really ruined my Christmas... He gets sworn in on Wednesday and he was declared President-elect on Saturday. Talk about a fast transition...
School starts on Saturday. Not looking forward to it. AT ALL!! I gotta do my school shopping too..
