Strofing w/ the SAT

In the: General Science lab
Thinking about: How to get a 6 on an SAT essay

Oh ho! This SAT I'm going to write tomorrow! All I'm going to do is write essay after essay after essay! Work a little math too and learn a little vocab because I have to spend tonight cleaning. >.<

So anyway, the funfair was goood!! I had fun, even though I didn't stuff myself with as much junk food as I wanted to....ah well!!

Midterm in less than a week!!! SOOO hacking happy!! After tomorrow I'm smooth sailing until the 15 (with some homework in between. And working on my TOK essay). But I have sooo much to do midterm, it's not even funny!!! Here's a list

-College essays
-TOK essay
-SAT subject tests (Math 2 and Chem)
-Learning for Math in general
-Historical Investigation (which mean I have to start re-reading the books)
-Learning for History in general
-Finish Math portfolio

But besides all this, I'm still gonna have sooo much fun! Jeani's 18th was on Monday and she's planning a seriously fun day with me, Valerie, Ama and Eyram. And I'm planning on picking Jeani, Valerie and Eyram after their ACT exam on the 24th and we're just gonna hang!!!

I forgot the most important thing: which house am I gonna be in midterm? My mum said the house will be ready by then but...... She said our (Eli and I) bedrooms are ready but what's the point if the rest of the house isn't? And I really hope my dad got his iPhone 3G S cause I have been daydreaming about using his old iPhone. And now that I hear Rock Band is coming to the iPhone next week, I want it just as bad!!! :)

It's an IB thing dawg!

Listening to: I Belong To You by Muse
Hanging in the: General Science lab
Thinking about: My TOK essay

Hey hey hey!!!

Don't worry, Roxy's still alive! Just felt lazy to blog during the summer so I tweeted instead! But I decided to pick my blog back up again even if no one reads it!

So quick update on the past few months:

-Summer was awesome, merci beaucoup!!
-I'm done with my Extended Essay. And I must say it was actually pretty fun!
-My next hurdle is TOK >.<
-Still finalizing my college list. urgh
-IB is hell. Too damn much!!
-School competitions are now based on colors. I'm a Mighty Blue Cedar and we rock!! The whole colors thing has made school more interesting!! We lost the singing competition and the debate but we really hope we hit 2nd in the fun games we had yesterday (which was fun!)

Ok so that pretty much sums up the major points in my life! My grade's funfair is tomorrow. We dubbed it Supernova and our tops are ILL!! Ha ha, I'll try and upload some pics if I can!! I really hope it goes well! :)

And after that, Jeani's b'day's on Monday (she's finally gonna be 18!) and then, TOK presentation rehearsals on Tuesday, SAT on Saturday and Mid-semester on the 15th!! My dad got me The Beatles Rock Band and luckily it's compatible with my Guitar Hero controller! More all-night rocking for me on the 15th! And hopefully, we'll be moving into our new house! *fingers crossed*

Okey dokey, hold your bated breath for my next post which will possibly (or hopefully) be after the 6th!

No longer special!!!!

In the: computer lab with Grace and Elsie
Worrying about: my math quiz tomorrow and my Extended Essay
Excited about: My half-sis's wedding this Saturday!!!!!!!!!

L is for the way you look at her
O is for the only one you see
V is very very very happy-making
E is even more than anyone that you adore can...
Ok, sorry about that. It's just that since Friday, I've been seeing some individuals together a lot and it's just made me really happy. You would think that I'm jealous or something but I'm not. Honest! I'm just really happy about it. I saw the two of them together and my world immediately became right again. I asked Rita yesterday if anything was going on between the two of them but she said no. I begged her to just lie to me and tell me that there was something going on but she said nothing was going on. She even said that the guys doesnt like the girl and the girl likes someone else. Well, I really hope that the guys really likes the girl cause I dont mind too much if the girl likes someone else. If the guy didn't like anyone, I would become upset. Again.
So.... My grade has already started planning for the funfair for next semester. It's called Super Nova and I'm in charge of the Games Room! More Guitar Hero!!! I want a really creative name for it. Something having to do with the galaxy. Maybe Venus or something. But I know we'll have the usual stuff like console and what not but I want to do something uber creative with the place. I'll have this summer to come up with stuff.
Oh man I can't wait for summer!!! I know it's a bit of a long way off but still!!! My summer itinery has been planned out: I leave for Dubai a week after school vacates, spend 2 days there, go to Brimignham for the Rotary Convention, then go to London for a few days then take the Eurostar to France and spend about 3 weeks in Paris with Edna, take the Eurostar back to London with Edna this time, back to Dubai and then home sweet Accra!!! Bummer I'm not going to the US though... I don't mind too much...
I'm just recovering from a serious sickness bout. I had karate on Friday and because I hadnt done it in so long, I was aching from head to toe afterwards. Then I had dance practice for entetainment after my SRC meeting until 1am. I woke up Saturday morning and had a sore throat and cough in addition to my aching body. But I was still able to dance for entertainment. We had this rep your country thing and my grade got Jamaica so you can just imagine the kind of dances we had to do. We tied first with the Grade 9's but then there was a fight and a dance battle and they won. I slept for an hour, watched Space Jam and fell asleep again. Woke up tired and still aching Sunday morning with cramps this time. Dozed through church and spent the rest of the day on my bed listening to music and watching The Colbert Report. Monday, still kinda has cramps and still kinda ached but it was ok. Now I'm as fit as a fiddle!!! Oh yeah, I also had a cold the WHOLE weekend too!!!
I'm really upset that I can't go for my half-sis's wedding thiss weekend. I havent seen her in almost 2 years and she doesnt reply to my emails!!! Gosh!! My dad left (or is leaving) today for the wedding in Utah. My mum isnt going but mu uncle and a few of my dad's friends are. They better take pictures so I can see them when I go for my IB exeat.
Lacuna Coil's new album Shallow Life is in stores now!!!! Can't wait to get it from iTunes!!!!!

Note to self: Always wash off makeup before sleeping

Feeling: well, not my usual 289.67% hyperness...
Laughing at: Nigahiga's parody of the Rihanna/Chris Brown incident

This weekend was really packed!!! The SOS funfair was dead (sorry Michael, ours was better!) but at least I got out of the house. Yesterday, i went for a barbecue at my Uncle's place cause he wanted to introduce the family to his fiancee. She's cool. I also found out that I have a serious passion for karaoke. The barbecue was at my aunt's place and her kids had a Wii with High School Musical Sing It. Even though I'm not a big fan of HSM as I used to be, I thought I'd be a laugh to try. So I bullied everyone into letting me play and it was fun. I even got recorded by some of the other people invited!

Franklina's birthday was yesterday so she had a dinner. I had a blast, being the life of the party like I always do!!!  Everyone said I looked nice!! When I went home, my sis had borrowed a mic from my aunt's place and we jammed on Guitar Hero until 1:30 am!!!

Today I was a good student, I worked on my Math and English essay and got a nice dent into them. Woo hoo!! Tomorrow, I'll work on my French before heading over to Erika's for my guitar battle with Ellis!! I hope I win even though I've hardly practiced...

Bad news: One of the actresses from Boys Before Flowers committed suicide... Sad... This may delay filming...

I can hang with boys boys if only they're talking about something I can relate to, like video games!!

Watching: Oboma (or more like the TV is on Oboma)
Chatting with: Jeani and Ewuradjoa
Listening to: No Sleep Till Brooklyn by The Beastie Boys

Ok, I have come to the conclusion that I will blog more often. Why? Because when I don't, junk plies up and my posts become too long...

So most important: My birthday was really low-key this year. Jeani and Valerie put a birthday sign on my cupboard door while they thought I was sleeping (damn birthday excitement!) And they tried making a powerpoint presentation but I caught them in the middle of it... But they persisted and I was nicely surprised after prep. They and Dzifa, Kelly, Ama, Jemima, Eyram and Priscilla made a huge card for me and we had chocolate ice cream!! My day was also really crapping at one point but my grade 10 croonies pulled through for me and gave me a card!! Fang also got me some stuff- a notebook, some pens and stickers. I jot my random emo moments in that book!!

This half-semester has been uber stressful! The dance competiton really killed a lot of people, me especially! I did both part- I had a minor role in the African dance and mixed the sound for the Contempoary dance. Late nights were in order, especially the week before the competiton. I slept in 3 or my classes one time- Math, TOK and Geog. Sad... And at the end of the day, Catherine was 2nd for both parts... Hey, we tried!!! And we rocked the house!! Just not enough to wow the judges...

Tomorrow is the SOS funfair!! Can't wait!! I'll get to see Micheal!!! And hopefully Jeani will be there. And Fang (fingers crossed)

By the way, today is Ghana's independence day!! 52 years of independence rox!! Today, I went to Ada with my family for one of their friend's birthday party. Part 2 is tommorow in a club! Adults...

Wow! Short post. I must really be tired. I can feel my eyes closing...

Emotionally scarred last Saturday...*Cue suspense music*

Listening to: Do It by Nelly Furtado
Watching: BBA 3 (Tawana looks like a crayon!!!)
Indecision: What am I doing today???

I found my extremely old iPod. The mini. It's bulky and looks older than 4 years but I'm having a blast listening to all my old songs!!

The Founder's day week ended on a good note. We all had to were our school polos on Friday (ew!!) but it was an interesting day. We had this big assembly thing with a play and awards and junk. Then we spent the rest of the day getting ready for the funfair...

...which, by my standards, was a success. We weren't fully ready by 10 especially since most of the 12 graders went to write SAT's but we bounced back quite quick. I helped with the haunted house the day before (which was an uber success!!! The most successful thing at the funfair after Jamz...) and spent the whole day walking all over the place even though I worked in both the casino and games room. (I played Mario Kart Wii too!! It was quite fun) At about 2:30 I went to the Jamz room but it wasn't really active cause it just started. I left at 3, found Jeani who had spent the day with her parents and we went back at 3:30 and the place was damn hot!! I saw smoke coming out of the room and was like 'Who's smoking up there?' (It was on the 3rd floor of the Resource Center) Entered the room and immediatly got hit by a blast of hot hair. I stayed in until 5, dancing my little heart out. We managed to get the best DJ in Ghana- DJ Black!! My hair was uber wet with sweat but I think it was worth it!! (But there are some memories I want to throw away to the deepest darkest corners of the earth. *shudders*)

We watched a few performances for an hour then the Jamz continued until 8. At this point in time it became a free-for-all (at first it was 16 and over) I went back in at 7 cause I was hanging with Jeani. She said she couldn't go back in there so she went back to the room and watched Stardust. I went back in and the nightmare started all over again (Why???) The fun part was over... When the lights came back on, the walls were discolored cause people had grinded seriously on the walls... Most of the teachers were mad!!

So basically that was the funfair (The Premiere...Fly @ 5). I spent the past week looking back at everything that's happened to me during the past mid-semester... And the analysis? I gotta work harder academically, I gotta clear my head of what doesn't deserve to be there (It's gonna be soo hard!!), and I gotta go crazy for CAS!!!! My mid-semester report was good though. I got about 36 points so hopefully I'm on the merit list (more good things for my college applications!!)

Now I have to plan my mid-term... driving...lunch with friends...mall crawling...Guitar Hero... hmm...needs more activities... Mother is screaming something about grandmothers... gosh!!

"The sea is wine red/ This is the death of beauty"

Listening to: Jeremy by Pearl Jam
Current academic pursuit:Finishing/doing English and Math homework
Hoping: The funfair goes off without a hitch.

Theophilus just gave Jeani and I nicknames: Timon and Pumbaa. I'm Timon and Jeani's Pumbaa. I asked him why he gave us the nicknames and he said it's because I'm small and Jeani's big. My logical reason is that Timon is the crazy ringleader and Pumbaa kinda goes along with the flow (ok so we don't really act like that but it's close!)

Right now, my school is celebrating it's 5th anniversary. The actual day is on Friday but there are activities planned for the whole week.

Monday- Symposium on international education. Yawn! At one point in time, Ama, Akosua and I were in the bathroom and played 2-4-6-1-1 and ampe!)

Tuesday- Debate. "Is Ghana ready for a female president?" Boys were for and girls against the motion. The girls won by a landslide!! It was hilarious!!

Wednesday- Career Day. Spent most of my time with the IT experts!!!

Thursday- Staff vs students football match. I always look forward to this every year!!

Friday (A-day)- NO SCHOOL!! Photo exhibition, enactment of school's dream, special assembly and some other stuff I can't remember...

Saturday- Funfair!!

Sunday- Special anniversary church service.

Next Friday- MID-TERM!!!!! lol!

Busy week huh? Well, I guess. And it doesn't help that I have tests coming up (Math on monday) and homework (English is 2 and a half pages? why????). IB's a crazy thing...

Oh yeah almost forgot to mention: Saturday's games were the most boring ever but it was the best for me! Weird huh? My cousin Gabriella came (shocker!) and Micheal too!! Yay!!! I missed him so much! And now everyone's looking forward to the funfair! The IT department actually unblocked Facebook so we could tell everyone about the funfair!! Can you imagine? Well, I'm abusing it. I haven't really said anything about it yet but I will, soon. I reminded Katakyie about it again. He's forever grounded!! I just hope his dad allows him to come. I mean I practically begged his dad to let him come. And Michael said he's sacrificing his exeat to come. Yay!! But don't worry guys (aka whoever reads this), I'll give you the full report next week!!

Ok now seriously, I have to do my work...
