New music, sleepless nights, changing of results, chicken pox, bitches, body scans,.... all part of what the French would call 'ma vie'

At: my mum's office
Watching: World Sport on CNN
Eating: Fries
Drinking: Water

I don't even know where to start!! Ok, let's start with the most important thing: I'm over my History hostility (yay!!) The subjects still clash though (boo!!) but I'm in Geography class most of the time. (uber boring!!!) but I'm still good!!

Sleepless nights
The Inter-Hostel singing competition is FINALLY over!! No more late nights or 'sleeping' in class (I don't actually sleep in class, I kinda go off due to lack of sleep. One time, I ran on 4 hours of sleep! My roommates and I stayed up after singing practice to about 1:30 am talking about all the stuff we had done in school since Grade 7!)
Generally the performances were really good (as always!) but the competition between hostels was't as much as last year (due to the fact the the really competitive seniors in the different hostels have all graduated) but it was all good! After the performances, we gave the judges a bit of time to compile the results. Normally, during this time, the different hostels are suppose to re-perform their songs from last year but no one was up to it this year. So... we all went outside and took PEEKCHAASS!! (I don't have them right now. I'll get them from Dzifa later this week and put them up later)
15 minutes later, we were back inside, anxiously waiting for the results. MY HOSTEL WAS FIRST!!! ALL OUR HARD WORK PAID OFF!! We celebrated like crazy!

Changing of results
Monday, during lunch, we got the breakdown of the results-the compulsory and optional. But guess what? Apparently, there was a mistake in the results! My hostel then got bumped to 2nd position and the other girls' hostel was first! Either way, I was cool with it. I just hope I get a little more than 20 CAS hours...

Chicken pox
There's a chicken pox outbreak in school!!! AH! I'm not worried. I got chicken pox when I was a baby (and don't you dare say it's possible for me to get it again!! Cause it's not!) One of the 12th grades classes did a presentation on it a few weeks ago. Erika had a chicken pox scare after that. She said she was burning up and had rashes on her back. My roommates quarantined her from our room. She went to the nurse and it was just a normal rash. Keith told me yesterday that he had alleriges but I called it chicken pox. He has all these spots on one side of his face. In our current 'chicken pox epidemic' what else would I call spots on face. Pimples?

New music
I am sick and tired of the music I listen to- Pearl Jam, Lacuna Coil, Incubus, Fall of Troy etc. Not that I don't think they're uber awesome but I listen to them day after day, night after night, free period after free period. I needed a change. One of the new 9th graders I talk to, Rita, lent me her iPod on Sunday. She has all these cool bands and artistes on it- Cute Is What We Aim For, The Cab, The Hush Sound, Mickey Avalon, Brokencyde... it was UBER REFRESHING to my ears to hear different artistes. I'm on a mission to listen to every song she has. She has 250 songs and I'm on the 167th song (on shuffle) Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap. Of course, I don't listen to EVERY SINGLE SONG, I skip the ones I know/have like Panic at the Disco and Rihanna. And I made a list of my favorites so far. Quite a lot of Brokencyde...

Body scan
My dad came to pick me up today during my 2nd Tuesday free period. My body's acting really weird so I came home to have a doctor look and me. I had to take a blood test and I got 2 shots instead of one! The first shot didint bring out any blood. And my BP's quite low too...I 'm due for a scan tomorrow (I'm not pregnant just in case anyone was thinking...) and to see a specialist. Hopefully, nothing is seriously wrong with me...
Bitches
New people just keep coming to my grade! The latest edition is Sarah, a Nigerian who used to live in the UK. (or was the newest person Francine? *shrugs*) She's really petite and has a really small face and she's really cute. She was a day student earlier but became a border just last weekend. Everyone in my grade likes her (and all the new people so far!)
Sarah's table is really close to mine in the MPH (aka canteen) and for some bitchy reason, one of my tablemates, Michelle, don't like her. Michelle is a year below Sarah and I (I'm in grade 11) and is always gossiping about Sarah on the table. She talks to her friend who is on the table behind her and says bitchy stuf like ' Ah this girl who does she think she is? She just came and she's eating the food. If I were on that table, I'll beat her everyday.' or 'This girl just came and she thinks she's a senior (the grade 11's have a lot of responsibilities!)' or ' Look at her small body' or 'Look at her plenty hair that she's always leaving down. She doesn't even look nice'
(sorry for the swearing)
Michelle fucking pissed me off yesterday at breakfast because all that came out of her mouth was shit! You haven't even gotten to know the girl and you're already trash talking her! And I already don't like Michelle. She has a bitchy streak a mile long (Quite a few people in her grade do). I wanted to say something so bad but I knew she would pull the 'I wasn't talking to you' card on me and I didn't want to ruin my day at breakfast. So I kept quiet and fumed. My other tablemates Nii (grade 9) and Prince (grade 11) tried to talk to me but I was too pissed off at bitchy Michelle. Oh but don't think I'm not gonna get my own back! I'm gonna do stuff that really piss her off. I know she hates it when I clear the food away while she's eating. Hey maybe while I'm doing that, I'll make a bit of the leftover food fall into her plate! (Does that make me a bitch too? I hope not...) Never mess with Sedi's freinds! Ever!

Other stuff which couldn't fit in the title
The sports competition is this Saturday! I'm a bit more excited about it now 'cause my friend, Katakyie, came to visit his sister in school on Sunday and I told him about it. (he goes to one of the other international schools in Ghana and claims he's on his school's soccer team) He said he had to get round his dad but he's hoping. And I also invited him to our school's first ever funfair which is on the 4th of October.

You know, maybe Saturday will not be as bad as I expect. Michael said he may come cause he misses us (Me. Jeani. Eyram, Kandi and 'everyone else'). But hey! you never know what may happen...

Does my new profile pic make me look a little rock star-ish? My hair looks purple! But it's not!

Don't ******* give me a guilt trip!!

Listening to: Kiss and Control by AFI
Current academic pursuit: learning Chemistry and Geography (or trying to...)
Wishing: I had the power to kill...

Urgh! School's in super full swing and i just realized that I don't want to do History AT ALL!!! You know who I blame? The IB coordinator of my school. Last year he told me and Jeani that he would bring Information Technology in a Global Society so we were like ok! We come back to school and he changes his mind (can I kill him? PLEEAASSEEE???) So now I'm stuck doing History which I'm not enjoying too much. I just can't believe that I'm gonna do History for the next 2 years (oops sorry, 18 months!) when I'm not even gonna DO History in university (I plan on doing Mathematics and Computer Science... at my first choice Carnegie Mellon!!)...See my predicament!!

Anywhoo, The guilt trip comes from my History and Geography teachers. Because their subjects clash, I have to alternate classes. So when I go for Geography, I get the guilt trip from my History teacher and vice versa (that whole "you didn't come for class" thing) It's frigging ANNOYING!!!!! *sigh*

I can't wait for September to end! The singing competition is this Saturday and I can't wait for it to be over. And after that, there's the Sports competition between my school and like 5 or 6 other international schools in Ghana. See why I can't wait for September to end?

"IB is a rigorous course for highly motivated students" lulz... (Happy birthday Dolly!!!)

Listening to: Mirrorcle World by Ayumi Hamasaki
Hiding in: the Library (no ones after me though!)
Current academic pursuit: Filling out my CAS form

Hey all. I know it's been a while since my last update. School started and everything's just gone crazy!!
When I came back to school last Saturday, everyone was uber happy to see me. I was practically floating on cloud 11 (shows you how happy I was!)
Sunday, we got our new uniforms... X_X. I hate them. My dad loves them...
(full body shoot coming soon)

Now IB is in full swing for my grades. We have quite a few new people and there's already a lot of drama (and it's only been about a week!!!) So now here's my official list of subjects:

Mathematics Higher Level
Geography Higher Level
French Higher Level

English Standard Level
Chemistry Standard Level
History Standard Level

History and Geography clash on the timetable so until a change is made, I have to alternate. I go for History on Mondays and Geography Tuesdays to Thursday. So far my fave subject is Math (what a geek... but by next week, I'll be wishing I never choose the damn subject...)

Oh gosh I thought was gonna talk about soo much..Ok I have a bit of time...(I have another free period and another...CAS can wait a bit)

So Fang spent her summer in China but she was in Shanghai. She got me some cute hair stuff and one of those toys you get from McDonalds. It was the red Olympics mascot, Huanhuan or whatever its called. She told me their names strung together translated to "Beijing welcomes you!" You gotta love the Chinese...

Snack time!!! Not like I'm going...
